These are used to determine whether the program or procedure will produce the desired effects and whether these effects can be attributed to the procedure. The methods used for the evaluation include:
- Matching methods: Propensity Score Matching based on the objective of finding a non-beneficiary group for the program or procedure (control) compared to a beneficiary group (treatment) based on observable characteristics.
- Double differential methods: The treatment and control groups are compared before and after the procedure in question.
